You don’t need to compile Winamp itself to make a plugin work with it.
Also it sounds like you have downloaded the SDK. It won’t compile as such on it’s own. You need to link it to your code and build your project separately. In case it is not the SDK that you downloaded then it depends on what IDE you are using.

Hi Tejas,
I want to develop a very small plugin for winamp, something like u did but I want it be integrated to the winamp itself. Anyway thats not the priority now, the priority is – How to get started with this thing ? I went to their forums, wiki article but I still can’t even get to compile the winamp itself. Can u please help me get started.

What I need to know is “how to compile if i make any changes in the source code since there are so many files and folders”
The post is too old but just hoping if I could get a reply.

Have you tried to make it run straight up without the event code? The navigate portion is important to execute the javascript code, at what point in the execution of the program are you trying to fire your event?
